Beating The Monday Blues

Monday is a beautiful day and very unique, viewed differently by so many people in the industry. Some say Monday is not a good day to report for work. To some, it is a beautiful day for work. We all look forward to a beautiful day, so it is time to make Monday a beautiful, unique, and productive day for everyone.

Why do we see Monday this way, and how can we change the way we see it? The secret is how you spend your weekend.

So spend your weekend wisely;

  1. Have enough Rest– Weekends are meant for relaxing, take your time to reinvigorate yourself physically, rest enough to recover lost hours during your busy week.

2. Meditate– A weekend should give you time to ponder on your past working week. Looking forward to your coming work week, what was accomplished and what wasn’t, what can be done to make your coming work week better.

3. Family – Very important, spend your weekend energy with family and friends and catch up on everything family-related. It is energy and time well invested because the returns are too great to be wasted.
Quality time is time spent well. That is when spent with people who matter most in your life. Remember, family is the reason you hustle 8hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week, every month all year round.

  1. Nice reminders about the weekends and Mondays. Being the first work day, that often sets the tone for the week, it’s important as you suggested to be well relaxed for the weekend in order to have an invigorating and productive Monday and work week. Great suggestions also for ways to spend the weekend. You’d be amazed how many people are busier at weekends and wonder why they resent showing up to work on Monday (the blues). Being there, done that! Now wiser.
